The Tesla Powerwall 3 is an integrated home battery system designed to store energy, provide dependable backup power during grid outages, and help homeowners reduce their reliance on utility power.
With 13.5 kWh of energy capacity and up to 11.5 kW of continuous output, Powerwall 3 delivers substantial power for essential household loads and demanding appliances. Its 185 LRA motor-start capability is designed to handle equipment with significant startup requirements, while seamless backup transition allows the system to automatically begin supplying stored energy when grid power is interrupted.
Unlike systems requiring a separate solar inverter, Powerwall 3 incorporates an integrated solar inverter with six Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) inputs and supports 120/240V split-phase residential electrical systems. Solar-to-grid efficiency is rated at 97.5%.
Powerwall 3 is also designed to grow with your home's energy requirements. Compatible Powerwall 3 Expansion units can add additional battery capacity, allowing homeowners to increase available energy storage as their needs change.
Integrated Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and cellular connectivity work with the Tesla app to provide system monitoring and control, while the system is designed for indoor or outdoor installation and carries Tesla's 10-year limited warranty.
